Ordering Process

Step 1 Inquiry and price quote

Send us your ideas for a frame and your location (for shipping calculation). You can include drawings, photographs, links to webpages of production bikes, CAD files or detailed descriptions. We will respond with a preliminary estimate and shipping quote. The speed and accuracy of the quote depends on the amount of detail you can give us.

Step 2 Down payment and design

Upon receipt of a 30% down payment, we will create detailed computer-aided design blueprints incorporating all of your choices and options. Revisions and corrections are made by request. Fabrication does not begin until you give final approval to the design.

Step 3 Fabrication

Our welders collectively have over 50 years of experience with titanium. We use the tungsten inert gas welding method. Our tubing is seamless 3Al-2.5V (ASTM Grade 9) titanium alloy with bosses and other fittings machined from 6Al-4V (ASTM Grade 5) titanium alloy.

Step 4 Quality control

Frame alignment is checked on a surface plate table and with precision alignment tools. The head tube is reamed and faced. Bottom bracket threads are cleaned, if applicable. Dropouts are confirmed parallel and level.

Step 5 Finishing

The complete frame is cleaned up and the tubes are hand-brushed for a lustrous silver sheen or sandblasted for a subdued, matte grey finish. Requested logos may be applied using various techniques. We send you photographs of the finished frame for final approval.

Step 6 Shipping

After the balance of the cost and the shipping charges are paid, the frame is sent via Express Mail Service (EMS) or FedEx with tracking number provided for your peace of mind.
