How car exhaust clamps work?
Clamping: The exhaust clamp consists of two bent metal bands that are held together by bolts or other connectors. When the bolts are tightened, the metal strip is subjected to pressure, which clamps the exhaust pipe .
Compression: The two metal strips of the exhaust clamp are usually elastic and can be caused to arc deformation by the force of the bolt. This deformation reduces the internal diameter of the clamp, which puts pressure on the exhaust pipe and ensures that it is tightly connected.
Sealing: When the exhaust clamp clamps the exhaust pipe, a tight contact surface is formed between the metal strip and the pipe, forming an effective seal to prevent gas leakage from the pipeline interface.
